In Lapland there are more reindeer than people. Vuonelo, kunteus, hirvas, vaadin and the other reindeer grazing with the herd call the fjelds and the vast Lappish woodlands their home. These strong spirited, half-wild creatures have their own ways but they are always glad to help Santa Claus as he hurries on his annual journey around the world. Hirvas is a male reindeer of over three years of age.
